Faraland is different compared to other NFT projects where NFT is solely used for collection. With many exciting gaming activities, Faraland’s users can use their NFT heroes in many unique ways, from equipping them with powerful weapons or shining armors to engaging them in various thrilling battles. It’s a solid and exciting game with a fundamental and engaging storyline. We also focus on the “play to earn” mechanism, making Faraland far beyond a regular game. A variety of options are also available for users, including reinvesting in the game, making your heroes stronger, or cashing out. Our vision is to make Faraland a “dream job” by providing players worldwide opportunities to generate regular income from the project. - Source: blog.faraland.io
The game is still pretty new and it's not the most user-friendly experience we played so far when it comes to upgrading your team or equipping your characters, every time you equip an item or you upgrade your character from stats, skills, to level up, you have to sign it in MetaMask, we hope they can find a way to integrate everything in the game without the need to sign every activity, as for the gameplay experience, so far we're able to do a daily quest and PVP (Arena), it has random encounters while moving from a different area in the game which is refreshing and they're also slowly building its story line, as for PVP, it's not for newbies, based on our experience, only high-level players are the ones camping the Arena, hence it's not for the entry-level player, we hope that they can find a way to balance the game across all level and possibly create a bracket for other players for them to compete, have fun, and test their team.

As for the rest of this quick review, this game has a high potential to grow and hit the mainstream, if you are into this kind of genre and looking for long term investment, this game might be fit for you, they have a full doxxed team and strong partners backing the game, investing early on with the very limited NFT might be a good investment in the future, given that the market is currently down, however doing your own research is strongly recommended and this is not financial advice.
If you plan to test this game out, there's a way to play without spending more than $100, but we don't suggest this route, besides the limited 20,000 Heroes and/or NFT characters, you can use what they call "Demi" characters and it's unlimited, however, it requires a soul stone (an in-game item) and the consumption compounds every week, hence it's not good for the long term investment, basically Demi is good as support or just to test the water, but everything else will rely on using Heroes, you may refer to this article to learn more about Heroes and Demi; https://blog.faraland.io/2021/10/08/what-are-demi-heroes-a-comparison-between-demi-and-nft-heroes/
It is also important when you invest in this game to get the equipment right away for your character/s as it can be very difficult to train or finish your daily quest without gears (most likely your team will keep dying and you might end up quitting the game 😅), please note that each piece of equipment will require a corresponding level before it can be used or equipped, just like any classic role-playing game.
